Unquestionably the most important decision you will make - which surgeon you will choose to perform your surgery.
By choosing a plastic surgeon you know your surgeon has gone through extensive plastic and reconstructive surgery training and residency, and passed comprehensive written and oral examinations.

Obagi

Below the skin’s surface are cells that give skin smoothness, even colour, and firmness. As these cells mature, new ones are made. For healthy skin, this cycle of cell replacement takes about six weeks. But just as the health of other body parts begin to fail with age, so does the health of your skin. Add the exposure to sunlight that has built up over the years, and skin’s ability to renew itself is damaged even more. As the cell renewal cycle becomes less efficient, skin becomes rough in texture, spotted in colour, and loose in tone. Obaji skin care can change all that. The Obaji Skin Care System is medically prescribed. It uses prescription strength ingredients that work at the cellular level…beyond the skin’s surface. And only a physician can provide the types of products that restore skin health at a cellular level.
The Obagi Skin Care System improves the function of three types of skin cells: Keratinocytes, melanocytes, and fibroblasts.

Keratinocytes are cells on the skin’s surface. The Obaji Skin Care System stimulates natural exfoliation of keratinocytes to recapture the skin’s smooth moist texture.
Melanocytes contain a pigment called melanin that gives skin its colour. The Obagi Skin Care System corrects the overproduction of melanin caused by sun exposure. Dark spots fade and skin colour becomes more even.

Fibroblasts produce support structures in skin called collagen and elastin that tend to break down over time. The Obagi Skin Care System helps to preserve collagen and elastin. Skin becomes firm, and fine lines and wrinkling appear less noticeable. Surrounding blood circulation improves, too, giving your skin a healthy glow.

When it comes to your skin, there are many reasons to get the blues…blemishes, acne scars, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation and sun damage, to name a few. If you want healthier, smoother looking skin, now there’s a way to dramatically improve your complexion. It all starts with the Obagi Blue Peel which is an in office procedure designed to significantly improve the appearance and health of your skin. Using a low concentration of trichloracetic acid or TCA mixed with a special blue base to slow penetration, the Blue Peel allows Dr. Kaila to monitor the appropriate depth to effectively remove the thin surface layers of aged and damaged skin from the face or other parts of the body. The dead skin cells are replaced by healthier ones, allowing the skin’s own clarity and tightness to resurface.

Unlike alpha-hydroxy peels or other superficial procedures, the Blue Peel allows your doctor to control the depth of the peel and the number of coats applied in order to tailor the process to your skin’s specific needs. The Obagi Blue Peel can even be performed on the neck, chest, hands, arms and legs.

The Blue Peel is a quick, relatively simple and tolerable procedure that in most cases, does not require sedation. The application of Blue Peel takes about 20 minutes, depending on the number of coats Dr. Kaila has determined is necessary to achieve your independent goals.
