Fat Grafting

Fat grafting is a procceedure tht involves taking f from one area of the body, processing it and reinjecting it into another are of the body. It can be done almost anywhere but is most commonly done to enhance the lips, cheeks, fill facial wrinkles. Unlike regular liposuction fat must be suctioned from the donor area of the body very carefully to prevent killing it. The fat must be then be processed to remove the dead fat and leave only the healthy fat cells to reinject. Care must then be taken in reinjection to maimize fat cell survival nd prevent cell death. In the best hands results of 70-90% fat survival can be expected. Once the fat cells have survived they are permanently a part of the new recipient area and add a natural soft real feel that cannot be matched by implants or fillers.
