Cellulite

Cellulite is among is among the most disturbing and challenging skin disorders known in the aesthetic market. This technology is designed to break up adipose tissue, helping to mobilize and eliminate fat deposits non-invasively.

Cellulite affects nearly all adult women of all races. Characterized by a dimpled "cottage cheese" look, cellulite appears most commonly in the thighs and buttocks. While it does not represent a health threat, cellulite is aesthetically unappealing, and a source of embarrassment to many women. Despite its prevalence, and no solution has adequately countered cellulite, until now.

Our professionals are able to treat both deeper cellulite and more superficial cellulite with Accent technology. Cellulite by its very nature, varies in depth. Some cellulite is deeper, while some cellulite is more superficial. The Accent is able to treat different depths of cellulite in a fairly consistent manner, from patient to patient.

Accent radiofrequency therapy is able to change the shape of fat cells and shrink and remodel the connective tissue that forms this unsightly condition. This technology presents a non-invasive, effective and long-lasting way to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

How Does Accent Work?
Accent RF employs three mechanisms to improve cellulite symptoms. It applies deep dermal heating to the fat bundles to bring about new collagen formation and skin remodeling. Stimulating enhanced blood circulation, the procedure also helps drain trapped fatty deposits and toxins. Finally, it's thermal activity serves to shrink fat cells.

What is Cellulite?
Normally the body's muscles are wrapped in a padding of connective tissue which is bathed in a liquid medium and held in place by a network of fibers which are nourished and cleansed by body fluids. When this process slows down, the tissue is flooded with waste materials that thicken into a gelatin-like substance, forming pockets which migrate closer to the skins surface. The visual result is a puckered 'orange peel' effect on the skins surface.

What Causes Cellulite?
Cellulite is far more common among women than men, indicating that hormonal differences play a major role in its formation. Although cellulite tends to appear in parts of the body where excess fat is deposited, it is widespread among both thin and overweight women.

Treatment/What to Expect:
During Accent RF treatment, our trained professionals will apply the treatment tip to your skin, precisely heating the skin's inner layer, whiles its outer layer is continually cooled. Depending on the size of the treated area, treatment may take from about 20-50 minutes. You should see gradual improvement. Following treatment, you can immediately resume all routine activities. You may notice slight temporary redness, which should disappear in less than 24 hours. While Accent RF has shown to be safe, effective and long-lasting, maintenance treatment may extend and improve upon results.

Does It Hurt?
While pain tolerance varies with each individual, most people tolerate Accent RF treatment with little or no discomfort. Patients often describe the sensation as a warm massage. Accent RF cellulite treatment is an effective, non invasive, and comfortable treatment option for patients.
